Philosopher and Research Professor @ PRIO
Henrik Syse (b. 1966) is a philosopher, with a Master of Arts degree in political philosophy from Boston College and a doctorate in ethics from the University of Oslo. He is a senior researcher at PRIO (Department of Peace Research) in a 50% position, Professor 2 at Bjørknes Högskole, lecturer and deputy chairman of the Norwegian Nobel Committee. He has written and edited several academic and popular science books and articles on ethics, religion, philosophy and war. Among his latest books is What we say to each other (Cappelen Damm, 2015), With devotion (with Asbjørn Bjornes, Cappelen Damm, 2014), Business ethics and social responsibility (with Jørn Bue Olsen, Fagbokforlaget, 2013) and Something to believe (Cappelen Damm, 2011). And then he is a Sunday school teacher in saying ‘and love the Beatles.
